We're very pleased to announce 20 of the 28 semifinalists today!  Congratulations to the 14 nonprofit and 6 for-profit semifinalists, listed here. The remaining 8 semifinalists, comprised of college and high school teams working through Ashoka's process, will be added to this list by Friday. And to the 20 teams who didn't advance to the semifinals, we thank you for participating in SIFP and hope you've gained new skills, connections, and insights to help you grow your organization and social impact in our region.

Here's how the process worked yesterday:  After first spending between 4 to 8 hours watching fast pitches, ten of the 15-member SIFP Quarterfinal judging team stayed late and completed the final deliberations, using the information collected over the course of the day, They spent 2.5 hours deliberating on which of the amazing 37 social innovators would advance to the semifinals. It was not easy, as so many are so good.

Later this week we will provide detailed information to all quarterfinalists, with their scoring, comments from judges, etc.
